Ireland goalkeeper Gray retires from international hockey

Ireland goalkeeper Emma Gray has retired from international hockey after winning 118 caps.
The 28-year-old Hermes player complete her Irish debut in 2008 and is the most capped female goalkeeper in Irish hockey history.
"Emma has been the backbone of the Green Army defense for a number of years. She led by model on and off the field," said Ireland coach Graham Shaw.
"Her equanimity and devotion will be sorely missed."
Gray, who will continue to play for Hermes, believes there is a bright future for the women's team.

"There is little doubt in my mind that this squad will continue to progress and achieve great things," she said.
